Guild Wars 2 reveals how things will continue until the launch of the new expansion - Roadbox

The new END OF DRAGONS expansion for Guild Wars 2 will be launched in early 2022.

These are the highlights of the roadmap: During the last months of the year, GUILD WARS 2 still has some interesting updates under the sleeve:

  • Beta events for the new elite specializations
  • The beta of update to DirectX 11
  • The first beta of alliances in the WVW
  • Events for repatriated and classic festivals such as Halloween or winter day

That is still pending until the release of End of Dragons.

What happens with beta events? There will be several beta events during the coming months that players can use to test new functions.

So 3 of the new elite specializations that appear with End of Dragons can be tested for a week. Then, a test will be carried out on November 30, during which the 9 specializations will be unlocked. The main thing is to test new skills and give feedback to developers.

At the beta of DirectX 11 and the alliances in WVW, the general changes are tested in the game that will appear apart from the new expansion:

  • Update to DirectX 11 should improve performance and get more out of the engine
  • The update of the Alliance, in turn, should bring a breath of fresh air to the WVW. Players have been waiting for this update for more than 2 years.

Is it worth starting Guild Wars 2 in 2021?

Events for returnees and festivals must keep players occupied.

What's in the events? A special event will be held from August until the end of November, whose main objective is to keep new arrivals and those who return occupied. The attention will focus on episodes of the living world for a week.
