Santa Monica Studio is an American video clip game designer based in Los Angeles. A first-party workshop for Sony Interactive Entertainment, it is best recognized for developing the God of Battle collection. The workshop was established in 1999 by Allan Becker and also was originally situated in Santa Monica, California, up until transferring to Playa Vista in 2014.
At the end of last week, Sony Interactive Entertainment and Santa Monica Studios had presented a first gameplay trailer to the upcoming Action Adventure God of War: Ragnarök . While only Thors Hammer can be seen in the trailer, we have also received a picture of the complete character. And Santa Monica Studios clearly dissociates itself from the interpretation of the youngest pop culture.
An extremely powerful thunder god
Instead of a basket-smoked thunder god, players get a big, thicker Thor as Kratos' opposite players. In a recent interview with Game Informer, the Game Director Eric Williams also talked about the character design and emphasized that the team wanted to go slightly deeper into mythology to make Thor a big guy .
We just want him to be a big guy, do you know? There are Marvels interpretation of him. That's interesting. We wanted to know her, go deeper into the actual mythology. The gods have an immediate presence. And that is not always about muscles. You are just like a wall of a person, do you know? So this is a wall of a God and therefore it was very important.
More about: God of War Ragnarök - New Director holds on the one-shot concept
Also Cory Barlog, the Game Director behind the 2018 God of War , has his opinion on the look of the gods. Accordingly, a good, muscular stature is not a prerequisite for being powerful and threatening. One should not underestimate Thor because he will be extremely powerful. He will do whatever he wants. However, he will not necessarily be the ripe man.
An official publication date has not yet received God of War: Ragnarök . According to the current information, the publication seems to be made next year for the PlayStation 5 and the PlayStation 4.
