If even mini-game collections such as Mario Party are too complex, the warioware games in the usual regularity gets its microdosis fun. Also Warioware: Get It Together!, The Switch debut of the nasty Mario twins relies on over 200 tiny games, which last only a few seconds. What may sound like lean and monotonous, however, turns out to be absurd ideas at least for a certain time as a varied fun.
Often something new
In the world of Warioware, the mustache sterling has brought to the game developer - sometimes with more, sometimes with less success. The story mode of GET IT Together! Builds on it and makes a simple premise: Wario and his impressively oblique cast on friends and colleagues are planning the release of a handheld console and are suddenly pulled into the game world contaminated by bugs. But that was already with the story of the game.
Although the campaign calls story mode, only a whole gross frame for numerous waves on micro plays is created here. There are ten to 15 of these games per level section to complete in the next area. And in the end, it is therefore only about the variety and the convenience of this micro-playing. Let's just wash the foam from the beard, press toothpaste on a tube, then leave a pole bear box again.
Divided into a total of ten different categories, the Warioware games live on their unpredictability. Within a few seconds, the task and associated game mechanics must be understood and implemented. In one example, we must give swimming aid and then understand that we have to move the arms of the float circular so that he can swim to the nearby island. To be overwhelmed by Warioware, belongs to fun for fun.
A dozen scratched developers you have to be
However, so that this micro games do not only work once, but multiple times, and we always have to think first, uses Warioware: Get It Together! Again on a whole set of playable characters. Because we not only control Wario itself, but also his many friends - each of which means a very own control. The way these characters play is partly so cumbersome and different that we are often doubly required. The inventor Crygor swims in the air, the Ninja girl Kat and Ana hop automatically, and so on.
The advantage of the many figures is that each of the over 200 micro games gets a new level when we play them with a different character. Locking a baby in the cradle, justifies different when we float in the air or sitting firmly on the floor and can only shoot projectiles. What unfortunately does not work so well here is balancing. The micro-playing principle is guided a bit of ad absurdum when we should jump through a tire and simply slide through with the jetpack.
More fun with friends
Is the campaign of Warioware: Get It Together! Managed, we can also experience the word-oriented potpourri on micro-playing in other forms - with great focus on the multiplayer. Although the story can also be played in the cooop by simply doing the games for two, real multiplayer fun, but only in the competitive modes. In addition to pure competitions à la Who can win most games in succession there are also more complex ways.
Here, for example, a solid implemented volleyball match can be played or an air hockey variant that forces the losers to complete certain micro plays. In a group with friends or on a post-corona party, Warioware has: Get It Together! To offer a lot to provide a bit of suroration. But for hours of tournaments, however, do not arise from this, because with all variety, many ideas quickly go out the air.
Much helps a lot (for a short time)
And the iStauchder perhaps the biggest criticism of the new Warioware: For proud 50 euros, there is a whole bar on the paper a whole rod of micro-playing and playable figures, but more than five hours of fun is in most situations but probably not in it. The campaign is kept very close up with about two hours and already offers a complete overview of the game offer. Everything about the multiplayer or the willingness depends to practicing themselves in the freechance of cosmetic items.
With an Ingame currency, so-called souvenirs can be shopping in a store. Either directly or about a random Lootbox variant. With these items, we can then feed our favorite figures and let them ascend in the level, whereby new costume colors, character portraits or even skins (hello, zombie-wario ...) are unlocked. For collectors this is a nice feature, but here is a lot of grind required, at that only a few desire will have.
Warioware: Get It Together! Lives from the sloping, often funny but always unpredictable micro games. For a certain amount, the game also looks like a bursting wound bag that constantly holds surprises. As soon as these surprise tract traps, because we have played all the games two or three times, this effect takes place very quickly. And then further playing fun depends entirely on whether we have a party at the start or would definitely want to color blue.
