Sony is leaving, but Microsoft will continue to participate in the conference.
Last year Sony has skipped the E3 conference what the industry shook, since E3 has been considered a kind of commercial spearhead for games for more than a decade. Many assumed that Sony would definitely emerge with the PS5 in this Christmas season this year to promote the next console. However, it looks like Sony would skip the conference again and instead focus on hundreds of Consumer Events around the world. What that means for E3 is probably not so good, but while Sony leaves, it seems as if Microsoft confirms his place on the fair again.
In a tweet of Xbox boss Phil Spencer, he finds that Xbox will be on the E3. He and the many teams under the umbrella of the Xbox are looking forward to performing their work for the fans of the event. He mentions nothing else specifically.
Microsoft has also published a new console for the holidays, the Xbox Series X, so that it seems that the company has the chance to present them on one of the largest stages of the industry, without much direct mind-share competition. We will see how things are developing when we approach the event, which begins on 9 June.
