The creators of Pong and Rollercoaster Tycoon, Atari, celebrated their fifty years as a member of the game industry and as one of his founders. As part of this celebration, Atari revealed a new logo, the one they called the Gold school Sunnyvale. This is in tribute to their original design studio all these years ago in Sunnyvale, California, as well as to commemorate the Half-century where it has been at the forefront of interactive entertainment.
Technically, the anniversary is not yet quite there, since it will be June 27, 2022. But that did not prevent them from revealing the logo they plan to use. They will use the golden logo on marketing communications, games and proprietary and licensed products, but only until the end of this year. It is therefore not surprising that they take the maximum now, rather than later. Here again, Atari has been using this opportunity since June 2021, with the launch of the Atari VCS, a game console that players can use to enjoy some of their classics. Atari also uses this as an opportunity to make major licensing collaborations, however, with whom they did not say. It can be reasonable to assume that they can work with Microsoft and Google, because it is currently possible to use both the Xbox Ultimate Gaming Pass and the Google Stadia to play some classics. There may be other collaborations with great names in the game industry, as it is for the consoles, or for the games themselves, according to the direction that Atari wants to take. In the current state of things, they are currently very happy to still be part of the game industry and have many projects for the coming year.
