A group of Assassin's high level developers apparently left Ubisoft to join Google's successful studio, Stadia Games & Entertainment in Montreal. Although the studio was founded by Jade Raymond, a producer of Assassin's Creed and Ea Star Wars, it seems that she was backed by former Assassin's Cree colleagues to create the exclusive titles for Google Stadia. Sébastien Fuel, François Welland and Mathieu Educ would all have embarked on Jade Raymond's development team. Although Google Stadia does not have exclusive content, the platform will start receiving one's own games on time.
Sébastien Fuel was executive producer of Assassin's Creed for more than 10 years and will be the new Director General of Stadia Games, according to NGC. Francois Welland was previously Executive Director of Development at Ubisoft Québec, who had launched the exit of Assassin's Creed Syndicate. He will now occupy the position of head of the production partly in the new Jade Raymond studio. Finally, Mathieu Educ has worked as an artist for Assassin's Creed and the two Watch Dogs games. He will also be artistic director at Stadia Games & Entertainment.
Jade Raymond's team is responsible for creating all the exclusive content of Stadia, and it is apparently the first of some original Google Stadia development teams. I have been the games for a while and I would not exchange anything against the experiences I had, said Jade Raymond. But we can do better. We can do more. At Stadia, we do not believe that we must be pretty good. We believe that you have to be more: more ambitious. More inclusive. More accessible. More immersive. More engaging. We bring this mentality to Stadia Games and Entertainment and, now, with our first studio, we are looking for the best developers of the planet to join us.
