Graz (GRAHTS, German: [ɡʁaːts] (pay attention); Slovene: Gradec) is the capital city of the Austrian state of Styria as well as second-largest city in Austria after Vienna. As of 1 January 2021, it had a population of 331,562 (294,236 of whom had principal-residence standing). In 2015, the population of the Graz larger city zone (LUZ) stood at 633,168, based upon principal-residence status. Graz is referred to as a school city, with 4 universities and also four colleges. Integrated, the city is residence to even more than 60,000 pupils.
